Sadly I couldn't be at the funeral but Lee was deffinately in my thoughts and prayers. I'll miss him dearly. He made a large impact on my life ever since I met him. He was the only grandfather figure I had in my life. His wit always made me smile. The Davis family has been great to me and my mom and I dont know where we would be without them. thanks and I love you guys! =) RIP Grampa Lee you'll always be in my heart.

Pauline, Jerry and all the Davis family,

I am saddened to hear of the news of Lee's passing last Thursday. I received the news from Jessica through Jimmy today (March 8th).

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Lee was the strong center of the Davis family and I know he made many impacts in all of our lives. I have so many memories of my time with Lee over the 24 years I was a part of the family. He could make me laugh, give feelings of security or get my goat (so to speak)... he loved doing that. It took me a long time to know that he loved to kid the women in the Davis family. He could always get me going and that would make him laugh knowing he got me.

I remember vividly the first time I saw/met Lee. He was sitting at the kitchen table drinking a cup of coffee in the old house of Vine street. He had been waiting up to meet me when I came to Ohio for the first time to meet the family. That was in May 1983. Over the years we all spent a lot of time with him at the kitchen/dining room table... chatting, reminiscing about the good old days, playing cards and eating wonderful food Pauline had prepared. Seems as though some of the best family memories I have were spent around the house with family near. The houses changed over the many years but the love shared around the kitchen/dining room table stayed solid. Lee was a big part of that.

I hope that the next time when you sit at that very same table, remember all the laughs, tears, love and long talks you shared with him. Keep his memory alive in your heart and mind and he will never be far from you.
