Delbert Parks, Jr. , 70 years of Winchester, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on April 27, 1939 the son of the late Delbert and Mary Alice (Whitt) Parks, Sr.
Delbert attended the Winchester Baptist Church and was on the bowling league at Sunset Bowling Alley.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter; Treasa Parks.
He is survived by his wife; Marcella (Grooms) Parks of West Union, one son and daughter-in-law; Danny and Emma Parks of West Union, three daughters and sons-in-law; Susan and Mike Hensley of Winchester, Robin and Doug Grooms of West Union, and Rebecca Jameson of Seaman, two brothers; Leroy Parks of Greenfield, Ohio and Lawrence Gerald Parks of West Union, two sisters; Juanita Carson of Jasper, Ohio and Willadean Rothwell of West Union, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Rev. Steve Bankhead officiating. Burial will follow in Copas Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
